We are able to host funerals at any of our three churches depending on availability of our minister. The service can be adapted to accommodate personal preferences. We can also help plan a service with a loved one if someone would find that helpful for peace of mind in the last stage of life. Our minister is trained to lead funerals whatever the situation you are facing, and it is our great privilege to walk with you during difficult times. We also host a monthly bereavement and friendship cafe to support each other.
St Mary’s Graveyard
Finding a final resting place for a loved one is important. We are now full for burials at St Mary's Elloughton but our minister can accompany you to a local burial ground as part of a funeral service. We do however have capacity for burial of cremated remains for approximately the next ten years, and we can also add cremated remains to an existing family plot. The next available spaces are under the church tower. Church guidelines on what is allowed on memorials are quite strict and we work within regional rules and regulations. We will give you these details when you book an internment of ashes with us. Memorial stones of a simple 18 inch square design in grey granite are allowed, and we advise that there is a circular hole cut in the stone to allow for a vase to be held in place.
