Weddings
Congratulations on your engagement! We are delighted that you are considering getting married at one of our churches. If you or your parents are resident in Elloughton-cum Brough or Brantingham parishes you are able to be married in any of the three churches in our Benefice.
There is lots more information regarding the legal requirements for getting married in a church on the Church of England website: https://www.churchofengland.org/life-events/your-church-wedding/just-engaged/legal-requirements
Each of our three churches offer a really special experience. St Mary’s Elloughton is a popular wedding venue in the parish due to its traditional feel and beautiful location, and there is a church hall on the other side of the churchyard which can be hired for the reception. All Saints’ Brough is a more modern church situated near the station and close to local amenities, and is also available for hire as a venue should you wish to host the reception there. All Saints’ Brantingham is a beautiful traditional church in a stunning location, on a hill set back against the Wolds.
If you would like to make an enquiry, please complete the form below. We will be in touch as soon as possible to let you know if the date is available; dates are allocated on a first come, first served basis. We will also go through the costs, and the deposit we require.
Banns
If you are getting married in a church, the reading of your banns is a legal necessity and must be done in both the church you are to marry in, and your own parish church. Please get in touch if you would like us to read Banns for you: lifeeventsebbc@gmail.com
